The OWWA Scholarship 2025-2026 Program is now officially open to apply for all eligible Filipino College Students in the Philippines. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has recently announced the opening of Online Applications for its Scholarship Programs for the Academic Year 2025-2026.

What is OWWA Scholarship Program?

The OWWA Scholarship is a Financial Grant provided by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), a government agency dedicated to protecting and supporting Overseas Filipino Workers and their Dependents.

The OWWA Scholarship aims to help deserving dependents of active OWWA Members in pursuing their College Education without worrying about Tuition and other Academic expenses.

OWWA Scholarship Programs 2025-2026

OWWA is currently accepting applications under the following Scholarship Programs:

• Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
• OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)

OWWA EDSP Scholarship – Education for Development Scholarship Program

The OWWA EDSP Scholarship is for Qualified Dependents of Active OWWA Members who want to pursue a 4 to 5-year Baccalaureate Degree in any Philippine-based College or University.

📌 Note: A total of 600 slots are available for incoming 1st year and continuing 2nd to 5th year College Students nationwide.

Benefits under EDSP Scholarship

• Financial Assistance of ₱60,000.00 per year (₱30,000.00 per semester) until the Completion of the Course.
• Scholarship Valid for 4 to 5 Years of College Education.

Qualifications to Apply – EDSP

To Apply for EDSP, you must meet the following:

• Applicant must be Single
• Must be a Filipino Citizen
• Must be a Child or Sibling of an Active OWWA Member
• Must be in Good Health and Good Moral Character
• Incoming 1st year: Must not be more than 21 Years Old
• 2nd to 5th year: Must not be more than 30 Years Old
• Must be a Grade 12 Graduating Student with at least 80% GWA
• Continuing Students: Must have GWA of at least 85% or B letter grade
• Must enroll in any College or University in the Philippines

OWWA ODSP Scholarship – OFW Dependent Scholarship Program

The OWWA ODSP Scholarship is open to Qualified Dependents (Child or Sibling) of Active OWWA Members with a Monthly Salary of $1,000.00 or below. This is for those who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a 4 to 5-year Degree or Associate Course in any University or College in the Philippines.

Benefits under ODSP Scholarship

• Financial Grant of ₱20,000.00 per Year (₱10,000.00 per Semester) for Tuition and other Educational Expenses.

Qualifications to Apply – ODSP

To Apply for ODSP, you must meet the following:

• Must be Single
• Must be a Child or Sibling of an Active OFW with OWWA Membership
• Must not be more than 21 years old for Incoming 1st year
• Must not be more than 30 years old for 2nd to 5th year students
• Must be enrolled in a College or University in the Philippines
• Must have GWA of at least 80% or be within top 20% of Graduating Class
• OFW’s Monthly Salary should not exceed USD $1,000.00

Required Documents to Apply

To Apply for OWWA Scholarship, prepare the following Documents:

• Valid Passport of the Active OFW (Proof of Identity)
• Dependent’s School ID or Valid Government-issued ID
• Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate
• Proof of OFW Income (Pay Slip, OEC, Certificate of Employment stating income, etc.)

Application Period and Deadline

• Opening of Online Application: July 16, 2025
• Deadline of Submission: July 31, 2025
