Class suspensions on Tuesday, October 1 #WalangPasok

MANILA – Some local governments (LGUs) have chosen to  suspend classes on Tuesday, October 1, due to Typhoon Julian.

Classes have been suspended at all levels in the locations listed below:

  • Abra
  • Batanes
  • Benguet
  • Cagayan
  • Allacapan
  • Iguig
  • Lal-lo
  • Tuao
  • Dagupan City
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur
  • La Union
  • Pangasinan
  • Aparri, Cagayan (public only)

The following areas, on the other hand, suspended classes at the primary and high school levels:

  • Apayao
  • Baguio City
  • Cagayan
  • Camalaniugan
  • Gonzaga

PAGASA issued Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 for the Batanes Group of Islands, while Cagayan, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, and parts of Ilocos Sur are under Signal No. 2.

Julian is expected to move about west to northwest while decelerating across the Bashi Channel on Monday, then recurve by Tuesday.

It is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday.
