What is SM College Scholarship?
The SM College Scholarship is a program offered by the SM Foundation, Inc. The foundation has been providing college scholarship programs for over two decades. The scholarship believes that education is the key to overcoming poverty.
The program aims to help students unlock their potential and achieve their goals. It is a common belief that once a family member graduates from college, they will help their siblings attend school to help move their families out of poverty.
The SM College Scholarship program is a great opportunity for Grade 12 graduates from public and private schools to pursue their dreams.

Qualified scholars under the SM College Scholarship program will receive the following benefits:

What are the Qualifications?
To apply for the SM Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Graduated from public or private schools in the covered areas. Private school applicants must have a DepEd voucher and must have finished Grade 10 in public high schools.
- Achieved a general weighted average grade of 92% or its equivalent for Grade 12 – 1st semester.
- Have an annual total household income of P150,000 or less.
What are the Requirements?
To apply for the Scholarship, applicants must submit the following documents:
- A fully accomplished online application form
- Birth Certificate
- Latest Grade 12 report card
- Two (2) copies of recent 2×2 ID pictures
- Sketch of residence to the nearest SM Mall
- Latest Income Tax Returns of parent/s or guardian/Certificate of Non-Filing of Income/Certificate of Indigency

- BS in Computer Science
- BS in Computer Engineering
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- BS in Accounting Information Systems
- BSBA in Management Accounting
- BS in Information Technology
- BS in Civil Engineering
- BS in Accountancy
- BS in Internal Auditing
- BS in Elementary Education
- BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- BS in Accounting Technology
- BSBA in Financial Management
- BS in Secondary Education major in Biology, Chemistry, General Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, and English.
Which Areas are Covered under the Scholarship?
The SM Foundation scholarship program covers various areas in the Philippines. Scholars are free to enroll at any school of their choice, provided it is located in the following areas:
- Luzon: NCR, Albay, Bataan, Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Isabela, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Palawan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Sorsogon, Quezon, Rizal, Tarlac, Zambales
- Visayas: Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negros Occidental
- Mindanao: Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotabato, Zamboanga del Sur
Scholars must ensure that their chosen school is located in one of these areas to be eligible for the scholarship program.
