CHED CoScho Scholarship 2025 Online Application


MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) officially announced the opening of applications for the CHED CoScho Scholarship Program 2025-2026. This scholarship is available for eligible undergraduate students who are coconut farmers or dependents of registered coconut farmers in the Philippines.

Qualified applicants can now submit their applications online through their respective CHED Regional Offices until July 31, 2025.

What is the CHED CoScho Scholarship?

The CHED Coconut Farmers and their Families Scholarship Program (CoScho) is a government-funded scholarship for students from coconut farming families. The goal is to provide quality education to help the coconut farming sector, reduce poverty, and improve agricultural productivity in the country.

The program is part of CHED’s efforts in collaboration with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and is funded through the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act (RA 11524).

Who can apply?

To qualify for the CHED CoScho Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  • Must be a graduating high school student, high school graduate, or a college student with a GWA of at least 80%.
  • Must be a registered coconut farmer under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) or a dependent of one.
  • Must be enrolled or will enroll in one of the priority courses identified by PCA (e.g. Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, etc.).
  • Must pass the admission requirements of a CHED-recognized SUC or HEI.
  • Must not be a current beneficiary of any government-funded scholarship.
  • Must have a combined gross annual income of ₱300,000.00 or below.

What are the Benefits?

CHED CoScho scholars may receive up to ₱195,000 in total financial assistance per academic year, including both regular and special allowances.

A. Regular Allowances – up to ₱80,000 per academic year

Documentary Requirements

Applicants must prepare the following documents:

  1. Birth Certificate (from PSA or Local Civil Registry)
  2. Academic Records:
    • For SHS students: Certified Grades (Grade 11 and 1st sem of Grade 12)
    • For SHS graduates: Form 138
    • For current college students: Latest certified grades
  3. PCA Certification (issued by PCA Regional Office via endorsement)
  4. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  5. Proof of Income (any of the following):
    • Latest ITR
    • BIR Certificate of Tax Exemption or No Income
    • Certificate of Indigency (from Barangay or DSWD)
  6. Notice of Admission from the HEI
  7. Barangay Certification (if applicable – stating that applicant’s family has no college graduates)
  8. Proof of special group status (if applicable – Indigenous, solo parent, PWD, etc.)

Reminder

Each eligible family can only nominate one scholar under the CHED CoScho Scholarship Program.
