MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has officially opened the application period for the September 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
Applications are now being accepted from June 23 to August 11, 2025, for qualified first-time and repeater applicants under the existing curriculum. The PRC emphasized that this exam cycle marks a shift towards a competency-based and curriculum-aligned testing system, in accordance with the PRC-CHED Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) signed on April 10, 2025.

What’s New in the 2025 LET?
This is the first LET cycle to fully implement the competency-based exam structure, which now evaluates applicants in three distinct areas:
- General Education
- Professional Education
- Specialized Field, aligned with the teacher’s training background
This approach departs from the uniform LET exam format used since 1996, allowing better alignment with the country’s evolving education curriculum and teacher training programs.
