1 to 2 Cyclones Expected to Enter PAR in December
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced on Sunday that one to two tropical cyclones might enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this December.
In a 4 p.m. weather update, state weather specialist Ana Clauren-Jorda urged the public to remain vigilant and prepare for possible cyclones that could impact the country during the holiday season.

“One to two storms could potentially enter our area of responsibility, with a significant possibility of making landfall or impacting land if a tropical cyclone or typhoon develops,” Jorda explained in Filipino.
She clarified that as of now, Pagasa is not tracking any low-pressure area or tropical cyclone that could affect the country within the next three to five days.
“Even during the Christmas or holiday season, if we begin monitoring a weather disturbance, it’s crucial to stay updated and alert. Preparedness and vigilance remain essential should a tropical cyclone or typhoon be tracked within our country,” she added.
According to Pagasa’s reports, the Philippines has experienced six tropical cyclones since October: Kristine (international name: Trami), Leon (international name: Kong-rey), Marce (international name: Yinxing), Nika (international name: Toraji), Ofel (international name: Usagi), and Pepito (international name: Man-yi).
